Gatson – I agree.. They only lost in the CL final to Man Utd by penalties, and I think they completed killed Man Utd in the 2nd half (OK, a bit of exaggeration there).. If Terry hadn’t missed the penalty, they would have been CL winners.. They deserved it more, based on the last game..

They don’t need more superstars.. They have depth and quality players and a great coach.. Why do they need Kaka, when they have: Lampard, Deco, Ballack, J. Cole, Essien, Malouda, SWP, Obi Mikel.. ?

They get players from other leagues because that’s what England does best.. They keep attracting foreign talent, and that ends up screwing the National Team over..

chelsea has ALOT of top world class players that can give them champoinship if they play their cards rights, man like kaka isn’t needed imo for a team to be built around him

The value of Kaka is that he is still young. He is a franchise player which justifies the large pricetag. i.e. you can build a team around him.

Jack, do those clubs offer 60 – 100 million to all players. chelsea wants everything for itself becuase of an owner who is hungry for champoins legue, the chelsea coaches are always under pressure to deliver

you don’t need all great players to win a tournament. the current real madrid team is winning la liga consecutively something the madrid of ronaldo, figo,zindan, beckam, raul, roberto carlos couldn’t do. chelse thinks only stars are the ones that can bring medal to the cabinet.

last but not least, a team full of stars is not good because not everyone gets to play, i would rather stay at place where i get to play rather than go place like chlesea and sit on the bench

Gaston, How in the hell is Chelsea causing unbalance to the market? Real, Barca, etc. etc. have been paying over the odds for players for decades. That doesn’t seem to have fractured the success or the excitement of the sport.
Also, this rumor is not anywhere near cut & dry. The quotes, the sources — all are at least somewhat respectable. I mean, Sid Lowe has been on this and he’s one of the best. Kaka coming to Chelsea is unlikely, but you can’t just dismiss what’s been reported thus far.
