He belongs to Jesus..

By: Moka | July 24th, 2008

He scores a goal, and he points to the sky. He wins a Championship, and reveals an ‘I Belong to Jesus’ t-shirt. He became religious at the mere age of 12, and his faith was immensely strengthened after miraculously recovering from his vertebrae injury. ‘God is faithful’ is stitched on the tongue of his boots. A member of ‘Athletes for Christ’, he is a devout Angelical Christian. His favorite type of music is Gospel music, and his favorite book is the Bible. He has brought joy to Christian leaders and wants to spread the word of the Lord when he retires. He is Kaká.

About becoming religious at the age of 12:

“I learnt that it is faith that decides whether something will happen or not.”

About his injury-recovery:

“The doctors said that I was lucky to be able to walk normally. They were talking about luck and my family was talking about God. We knew that it was His hand that had saved me.”

After winning the CL in 2007:

“We can only win being on Jesus’s side.”

On marriage (check the link to see what the gorgeous Gisele Bundchen had to say):

“The Bible teaches that true love waits until marriage. If our life today is so beautiful, I think it is because we waited. There are always temptations, but the sacrifices the couple made for each other have been more than worth it.”

A neat compilation of the faithful one:

its a great thing to see a player devoted like that, to something at least benefits him and everyone around him. unlike some other players *cough* Adriano, piss all their money on alcohol and drugs and destroy themselves.

thats one reason why Pato’s parents wanted him to go to Milan, to be with Kaka.
