The Kaká-Saga.. (as it happens)

By: Moka | June 4th, 2009

A lot of BS going on from Spanish and English tabloids, generating a lot of confusion. I will try my best to clarify what’s going on from reliable sources:

June 5:

- Berlusconi admits that Kaká might end up staying and that Milan will try and make a move for Trezeguet. No moves for Robinho or Eto’o.

TREZ?! Out of all the strikers out there, they want the player that is NOT wanted by Juve?!

June 4:

- Zidane announces that Kaká has signed for Madrid and that he will take the #5 jersey. Goal.com BS.

Shit. I like to think of it as a luring mechanism.

- Berlusconi speaks to Mediaset and reiterates how Milan need to sell Kaká to balance the budget, and how he can’t compete with Real Madrid in terms of salaries. He emphasizes that the decision is up to Kaká, and he hopes for a surprise. He compares Leonardo to Capello and hints about C. Ronaldo being in Milan. More here.

Certainly much better talk than earlier today. But still, I don’t think a comparison should be made between Kaká and Sheva. Kaká does NOT want to leave. He’s said it 1000 times over and over again. I certainly doubt Kaká really wants more money, but I believe that he’s demanding more as a polite way of saying thanks, but no thanks. If Kaká was done with Milan and showed no ambition of doing well for the club, then that’s a different case, but this guy is using his brother to make the deal fall through. At least that’s how I see it. C. Ronaldo in Milan? Hmm.

- Berlusconi likes Milan as it is. He claims that with Kaká’s departure, Milan don’t need any new players. No need for reinforcements at the back with Nesta and Kaladze’s recoveries. Meanwhile, Galliani claims that Kaká will be replaced by a superstar forward, as Milan will play 4-3-1-2.
- 200 fans are protesting outside the club headquarters.

So let me get this straight. The Prime Minister of Italy is the one who decides if his team needs players or not. The vice-president decides the tactics, and who they’re going to buy. What does the coach do then? Hell, if Milan are going to depend on the likes of Dinho and Seedorf in the middle, then I feel very sorry for Leonardo. Dinho is by NO means a replacement for Kaká. Nesta and Kaladze enough at the back? Are you f**king kidding me? The former is as fragile as glass, and the latter is an inconsistent and unreliable center-back. Watch Nesta get injured in mid-October, and watch Milan have another shitty season. I hope it’s clear to everyone why Milan supporters DO NOT want Kaká to leave. Look at our SHITTY management!

- Interesting twist of events, as the Mirror claims that Bosco Leite, is asking for a signing-on-fee of an additional €11.5 million, plus a transfer and €1.5 million for Kaká’s younger brother Digao. It also claims that Real Madrid would be unwilling to go that far.

Very interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised, though, seeing how many times Kaká has reaffirmed his desire to stay in Milan and his ambition to captain the team. And talk like that from Kaká is not just bull, so it makes sense he wants his brother and a lottt of cash to be included in the deal. Again, just comes to show his reluctancy to leave the club. But still, this is speculation. Nothing concrete yet.

- Berlusconi claims that no deal has been reached yet, but admits it’s all up to Kaká. He mentions that he will hold a dinner with Kaká and Galliani on Monday.
- Galliani confirms that negotiations are ongoing and that the reason behind accepting a bid is economical. He believes Milan have to sell, in order to compete. More here.
- Sky Italia claims that everything is done and dusted, and that Berlusconi is delaying an official announcement in fear that it will affect his chances of gaining a place in the European Parliament. Voting ends Sunday, June 7.

Okay, the plan is clear. Of course he won’t announce it sooner there are elections going on. Oh and the best thing is he also claimed that Milan lost games because his advised tactics weren’t implemented. Are you f**king kidding me? Galliani, please, enough with BS about how Italy is so poor compared to Spain and England. It’s true, but Milan’s failure in the transfer market is largely because of you, and your boss.

WTF

June 3:

- Sky Sports claims that Chelsea have made a move, but Chelsea quickly move to deny it.
- British journalist, Sid Lowe claims a deal is in place, but there are on-going negotiations over the salary. More here.

Okay Sid Lowe. Fair enough, I believe you. Chelsea? More media BS. Blah. I wish it were true though. Maybe it would force Madrid to bid higher? Not that 65 mil isn’t enough, but hey, Milan need as much money as they can get. We just lost a great legend in Maldini, a great coach in Ancelotti, and the potentially great Gourcuff. Oh summer, how I love you.

June 2:

- Marca, AS, and Sky Italia claim a deal has been reached between all parties. €65 million is the price and €9m is the annual salary for five years.
- AC Milan President, Berlusconi, admits offer is very difficult to resist.
- Diego Kotscho, official spokesman for Kaká confirms that an offer, substantially lower than that of Man. City’s in January has been made. No agreement yet, he adds.
- Spanish radio claims Galliani and Bosco Leite (Kaká’s father) arrived in Madrid to discuss the transfer. Statement on AC Milan’s official website says ‘Milan Delegate Administrator Adriano Galliani is in the city of Madrid exclusively for the dinner inaugurating Florentino Perez as the new Real Madrid president.’

Noting is official yet. Just more claims by the media, except on a more detailed level this time. One thing is for certain though, Milan are willing to sell him for the cash. The final say is for Kaká. This is not the first time it happens, as Kaká rejected Man. City in January. But then again, that was Man. City; now we’re talking about Real Madrid. As of now, I’m accepting Kaká as a Blanco.

if he wants to get CR7, he’ll cost the same amount of money Kaka does, it’s better that he keep Kaka anyways.
