Wake me up, when September Ends..

By: Moka | August 14th, 2008

October is, roughly, the expected month of return for Kaká. And apparently, Milan doctor, Jean Pierre Meersseman, puts the blame on Brazilian national team doctor, Jose Luiz Runco, who operated on Kaká in May. Meersseman is convinced that Kaká had two problems in his knee; tendonitis and a meniscus problem. Runco’s operation only treated the meniscus injury and the tendonitis he is suffering now is not a result of the original meniscus injury, claims Meersseman.

With Ronaldinho slowly returning back to his best, I leave you with a nice compilation combining clips of Kaká and Ronaldinho: (I posted this in a previous post and reposting it now because it’s that good)

Meanwhile, in other news, Kaká’s little brother, Digao, has officially joined Belgian club, Standard Leige on a one-year loan deal. Good news for Digao and Milan, mainly because, well, he’s not so much like his brother. At least, so far.

Farewell.. until October (unless something new pops up, or he makes an early recovery)

Moka, time off already!? Hah, you earned it.

As for Dr. Runco, who Ronaldo loves so much, it is not the first time he is making big news regarding a controversial treatment or surgery, he has been involved in many rehabs that have been considered suspect or failures in general, he must hold a high place in the Brazilian federation, and much respect from players because he doesnt catch much flack, but club doctors seem to dislike him.

well, thanks to Dr. Runco (assuming Meersseman is right), I get an early vacation.. :P

It’s actually pretty shameful that at the most professional level, there is a misunderstanding between doctors. I would assume, if Kaka was off to operate in Brazil, the Milan doctor would give the other doctor some kind of report or test results??

whenever any player gets injured, i say hopefully the doctors got the recovery time wrong and he’ll come back sooner. but this time i really really mean it, i really hope they’re so wrong and he’ll be back sooner. because we really do need Kaka as much as any other key player, if not more sometimes. he can and is the difference at many times.
